Your business members ask about card processing. Now you have an answer.
Evident Business Solutions runs merchant services programs for community banks and credit unions. Your branch makes the introduction. Our team meets the business, prices it in writing, installs the equipment, and answers the phone afterward. Underwriting, risk, and PCI run through Electronic Payments, our processing partner. Your institution earns on every account and never touches the liability.
- ✓Non-interest income on every merchant your branches refer, for as long as it processes
- ✓Zero liability on the referral model. Underwriting, risk, and chargebacks are handled by the processor
- ✓A person at the branch when a member has a question, not a call center in another state
- ✓Reporting on referrals, approvals, and portfolio performance
- ✓Co-branded materials and training for your business bankers and branch staff
As hands-on or hands-off as your institution wants
Most partners start with referral and move up as their bankers get comfortable. Nothing locks you into a model.
You introduce. We do everything else.
A business banker or branch staff member sends us the name. We contact the business, review their current statement, present pricing in writing, and handle the application, equipment, install, and training. Your institution earns a share of the account's revenue for as long as it processes. No staff time, no liability, no risk.
Good fit for
Your bankers stay in the room.
Your business bankers join the first meeting and stay the face of the relationship. We handle pricing, paperwork, installation, and support behind them, and we train your team on how to spot a merchant who's overpaying. Higher revenue share, still no liability.
Good fit for
You own the program. We supply the engine.
For institutions that want merchant services as a named product line. Your staff manages the merchant relationship using the processor's tools, pricing, and infrastructure, with our team as the installers and support. The largest share, with the most involvement.
Good fit for
The same program we run for our own merchants
Your name is on the introduction, so the merchant has to be treated well. Here's what that looks like.
Pricing in writing
Interchange-plus, cash discount, or hybrid, explained side by side against their current statement. Month to month, no early termination fee.
Equipment installed and trained
Clover, Square, TableTurn, Aldelo, and Exatouch, plus countertop terminals, with the free-equipment offers we publish. Installed in person in Northern California, remotely elsewhere.
Support from a person
The same office number for the life of the account. PCI compliance help included, so the annual questionnaire doesn't fall on the business owner.
Local team, national processor
Evident Business Solutions is an independent sales organization. Merchant accounts are underwritten and sponsored through Electronic Payments, Inc., an acquirer that has run financial institution programs for over two decades and reports more than 100 bank partnerships. They carry the underwriting, risk management, and merchant liability. We carry the relationship.
Revenue share
A schedule you can read, paid on the accounts your branches refer.
Reporting
Referrals, approvals, and portfolio performance, without asking.
Staff training
Short sessions for branch staff on what to listen for and how to hand off.
One call
One number for your team and your members. Not a ticket system.
Co-branded materials
Statement inserts, counter cards, and a landing page with your name on it.
What business banking leaders ask first
Not on the referral or hybrid models. Underwriting, risk monitoring, chargebacks, and merchant liability sit with the sponsoring processor. Your institution refers the business and earns on it. The agent bank model involves more of your staff in the relationship, and we'll walk through what that means before anyone signs.
No, but many do. Settlement can deposit into an account at your institution, which is one of the reasons banks run these programs: the merchant's daily card deposits land with you.
It depends on the model and your volume, so we don't publish a number here. We bring a written schedule to the first meeting, and it's the same schedule that goes in the agreement.
Ask your members how it's going. The most common reason institutions call us is that their current program is a referral to an 800 number, the merchants complain, and the bank hears about it. Our team meets the business in person, prices it in writing, and installs the equipment. If your current provider does that already, keep them.
A referral program can be live in a few weeks: agreement, staff training, and co-branded materials. Hybrid and agent bank programs take longer because your team is more involved and the processor's onboarding is more thorough.
Your members are going to sign with someone.
Make it a program with your name on it and a person they can call.
